Few embodied the Gospel of mercy as powerfully as Mother Teresa. In the slums of Calcutta, she saw Christ in “the poorest of the poor.” Her mission was simple: to love until it hurt.
She said, “Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love.” Her hands touched lepers, cradled dying children, and comforted the forgotten. Her mission reminds us that holiness begins with seeing — truly seeing — the suffering Christ in others.
September’s return to work and routine invites us to renew our compassion. Every person we meet is a chance to meet Christ anew. Mother Teresa’s mission challenges us to love radically, without calculation.
